Welcome to our new website and blog posts. To the average person, topics on roofs, siding, gutters and windows may seem a bit boring but they are very important to the safety of your family. We often take these all for granted until something goes wrong. In Minnesota we have some extreme weather that include everything from heatwaves, snow, severe winds, thundershowers, and hail. All of these can have an adverse affect on our homes especially hail damage.

At Buildtec, we would like to keep you informed and be available for questions when you need help. We will talk about preventative measures to keep your home safe but also what to do when disaster does strike so you can be adequately prepared. We are not just a builder but a member of the community here in Stillwater, MN and the local area. We grew up here, raise our children here and are proud to be working here.

Choosing a roofing company when disaster strikes is stressful, emotional, and not an easy decision to make. We understand that. The first step is to check out the rating on BBB, this will give you some indication of how prior customers rated their work, make sure they are bonded and insured. Not all companies carry adequate insurance. Finally, it is advisable to always speak to an owner of the roofing company. If the owner can’t make time for you then you are not that important. We carry and A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, carry a copy of our insurance with us at all times, and are always willing to speak to any customer at any time.

If you have an old roof and are not sure if it needs to be replaced, we are happy to come by and inspect it. You can count on an experienced honest response. We will not try to sell but inform. Choosing a roofer should not be stressful or difficult. We treat our customers like we would like to be treated. Enjoy the summer and maybe we’ll see you at Nelsons, or Summer Tuesdays. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
